Contractor: HB Reavis
Lucas has completed a major commercial painting and specialist coatings package at Worship Square, a cutting-edge 10-storey workspace development on the northern edge of the City of London. The scheme, delivered by international workspace provider HB Reavis, sets a new benchmark for sustainable office design and operation.
Worship Square comprises 140,000 square feet of high-specification office, retail, and amenity space, designed with ambitious environmental goals at its core. The building targets a 5.5-star NABERS rating and BREEAM Outstanding accreditation, and has been constructed to be net zero carbon both in build and in operation.
Appointed by HB Reavis, Lucas was responsible for delivering the full decorations package across this highly sustainable new build. Our team painted all core areas, commercial office floors, and back-of-house zones, including two levels of basement. A key element of the works involved the use of our own Muralplast multi-surface coatings — a low-VOC, water-based system applied to the CAT-A metaldeck soffits to ensure maximum environmental performance without compromising on finish.
The project demanded a focused, sustainability-led approach, in line with both HB Reavis’s vision and our own commitment to environmental responsibility. Every stage of our delivery was aligned with strict green building standards, from the selection of materials to on-site working practices.
Worship Square stands as a prime example of next-generation commercial development — flexible, forward-thinking, and environmentally intelligent. Lucas is proud to have played a role in bringing this vision to life, contributing to a workspace that supports not only business productivity but also the wellbeing of its users and the future of the planet.
