Lucas has won a major fit out contract to provide affordable housing units as part of a comprehensive refurbishment and rebuild called Finsbury Tower, close by Old Street to the north of the City.

The development centres on the rebuilding of a 1960s 16-storey office tower. The new Finsbury Tower will reach 29-storeys of office and retail space when completed. A separate, new six-storey building is under construction next to it and includes 25 affordable residential 2 and 3 bedroom apartments

A fit out team from Lucas will be installing kitchens and bathrooms, completing all tiling, joinery and floor coverings and decorating throughout the affordable housing scheme.

The fit out will run for 21 weeks and will start as soon as workstreams on the development are rescheduled. The main contractor is Mace for the developer CIT.
