Lucas has launched a new safety initiative branded “Safety as Standard” across the group to ensure that our excellent safety record remains a passion and a priority for all Lucas employees.

New posters are going up across Lucas offices and sites with the “Safety as Standard” slogan on prominent display detailing the full Lucas Safety System. Extra stickers and badges for all corporate personal protective equipment have been issued and all new equipment will bear the new slogan.

Lucas already adopts comprehensive health and safety measures on all projects. Individual programmes are in place to ensure all operatives are fully trained, qualified and briefed for the work they do and the equipment they use.

But I’m determined to make sure we continually set new high standards which is why it is good to refresh our internal safety campaigns from time to time.”
