Lucas has deployed its operatives working in the Canada Water area of London’s Docklands to decorate a large building for the Paper Garden, a community project based at a former paper store previously used by the Daily Mail.

The Paper Garden is run by Global Generation, an education charity working with local children, residents and businesses and championing environmentally responsible communities.

It is now home to food growing beds, ponds, huge mounds, planters, a vertical growing project, a large poly tunnel, and a cosy home for chickens! The adjoining building will be used as an educational centre and resource for the local community.

Lucas is delivering the painting package for a nearby mixed use development for main contractor Mace and the Developer British Land. Everyone chipped in to do their bit to ensure that the Paper Garden becomes a valuable community initiative.
