Lucas has completed an important heritage decorating package at the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) in Lincoln’s Inn Fields in Central London.
The historic Grade II listed building has undergone a comprehensive and sensitive refurbishment which the College calls “Project Transform” and Lucas has played a key part.
The building’s iconic pillars, façade and main library have been maintained, and the famous Hunterian Museum housed in the building has been expanded. The refurbishment has transformed the RCS’s London base into a modern, light and flexible facility to provide the best possible education, examination and research facilities for the profession.
Lucas deployed one of its specialist teams to undertake the careful redecoration works throughout the refurbished building, and throughout the new build, environmentally sustainable extension.
It was indeed a successful operation.
