Lucas is proud to announce a perfect 100% score following a recent Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) audit at the Timber Square development in London.
The independent on-site assessment, carried out this month, awarded full marks across all three CCS pillars: Respecting the Community, Caring for the Environment, and Valuing the Workforce; recognising the team's consistently high standards of site management, professionalism, environmental responsibility and workforce wellbeing.
Timber Square is a major mixed-use commercial development being delivered by Mace as principal contractor, comprising new-build and refurbished office and retail space. Lucas is delivering a comprehensive package of finishing works across the scheme, operating closely alongside Mace and the wider project team to ensure safe, clean and well-organised working environments throughout the final delivery phases.
The audit highlighted the team's strong site discipline, proactive housekeeping, and professional management of programme pressures. Environmental practices including waste segregation, high landfill diversion rates and carbon offsetting were also recognised, alongside ongoing training, wellbeing initiatives and robust safety management for operatives.
Achieving a perfect CCS score reflects Lucas's long-standing commitment to responsible construction, collaborative working and raising standards across the industry; even when operating as a specialist subcontractor on complex, fast-paced projects.
Congratulations to the entire project team for setting the benchmark once again.
