A heritage refurbishment team has been deployed there to bring back to life two former control rooms and the original art deco directors’ entrance, staircase and reception area.

Hearst UK publishes 22 brands including Good Housekeeping, Women’s Health and Cosmopolitan. Lucas focused on re-working the beauty and skincare testing space at the Good Housekeeping Institute at St Anne’s Court Soho.

This is a special editor’s award recognising the huge response by the industry to meet the challenges brought on by Covid-19. The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) is the Geneva-based independent, non-government organisation that sets global standards in the fields of management systems, environmental best practice and now occupational health and safety standards.

Lucas has won an exciting finishing project at 78 St James’s Street, a prime refurbishment and development of a Georgian Grade II* listed building in London’s West End clubland. The façade and main building is being carefully maintained and refurbished and a new Grade A office building with a large atrium built behind it.

Lucas has secured a major painting package at the n2 building in Victoria, part of the complex Nova development opposite Victoria Station. We are already on site delivering a design and build fit out of a dramatic reception entrance for the 16-storey office building. And we previously completed a series of important packages in the adjacent Nova Building including building, fitting out and finishing 21 luxury penthouses.

Lucas continues to deliver a run of important new painting packages in Central London with the decorations for a major office redevelopment at 280 Bishopsgate. The 13-storey commercial building was the former City headquarters of the Royal Bank of Scotland. It is now undergoing a complete redevelopment, inside and out, to create over 264,000 sq ft of Category A office space, including a new dual reception feature right through the building, linking it with Bishops Square on one side and Spitalfields Market on the other.
