Sustainability - the key to Worship Square

Lucas has secured an important commercial painting win at Worship Square on the northern edge of the City for a new, 10 storey workspace development that has impressive sustainability targets, designed to achieve NABERS 5.5* as well as BREEAM Outstanding.

The new build by international workspace provider HB Reavis (see link below) will deliver 140,000 sq ft of office, retail and amenity space resulting in a highly sustainable working environment. It has been designed, constructed and will be operated by HB Reavis to achieve its goals of being net zero carbon in both construction and operation.

Sustainability is always a top priority at Lucas and we will of course adopt our usual highest environmental standards as we decorate throughout the building. That will include using our own low VOC, water-based Muralplast multi surface coatings on all CAT-A metaldeck soffits. Our team will paint back of house areas in the two-storey basement, all core areas of the building and throughout the commercial office spaces.

Our programme starts in the new year.
