Lucas secures key role in the redevelopment of Woking town centre
Lucas has secured a major decorating package outside the M25 for an ambitious redevelopment of the town centre at Woking in Surrey.
Our painting teams have started work on the complete decoration of 429 studio, one and two bedroom high specification apartments in two new tall towers of 34 and 30 storeys. The two towers are at the heart the redevelopment that will see a new Hilton Hotel, retail space anchored by Marks and Spencer, public plazas and new car parking.
Lucas teams have already undertaken enabling works for the hotel and in other areas of the development, and since December have embarked on a detailed decorations programme for the build-to-rent apartments which are due to go to the market in 2021 upon the completion of the scheme
Lucas is working for the main contractor Sir Robert McAlpine and the £540 million development is a joint venture between Woking Borough Council and the Moyallen Group.
