Lucas scoops White City Place fit out packages
Lucas has won a series of fit out packages at White City Place in west London. The work forms part of the refurbishment of what was once the BBC’s Media Village complex, and close by Television Centre which is also undergoing a major redevelopment for mixed use. Together they form the masterplan for the complete redevelopment of White City.
We will be sending in fit out teams to the Media Centre and Garden House, both former BBC buildings and now central to this redevelopment which will provide new commercial space for businesses in the creative industries.
We are building and completely fitting out comprehensive facilities for staff in the basement of the Media Centre including showers, lockers, changing areas and toilets. We will be installing all the sanitary ware, tiling, joinery and undertaking some drainage works.
We are also fitting out other areas in the basement of the Media Centre including a post room, waste store and reception area, as well as installing a series of “superloos” on levels one to four.
Our teams will also fit out toilets and shower rooms in Garden House, next to the Media Centre, as well as carrying out a series of refurbishment works throughout the building.
White City Place is a joint development by Stanhope and Mitsui Fudosan and the principal contractor is Lendlease. Work is now underway and is due to be complete over the next few months.
