Starring role in the US for the Lucas Profinish brush

Lucas has fulfilled its largest ever order for the Profinish brush following a global search by the Journeyman and Apprentices Association of America for the perfect professional gift for graduating student painting apprentices.

The call came through from Jed Hartley who runs the Regional Training Center for the Association covering Oregon and South West Washington.

Like the UK, there is a serious skills shortage for qualified painters and decorators in the US. And like Lucas, Jed is keen to raise the reputation of both the trade and construction in general.

Jed told Danny Lucas in a podcast available online: “The Profinish brush was just the tool we were looking for. It says to an apprentice who has completed all his or her courses that you’re a professional; that you have mastered your craft.

We were looking for the finest, bespoke brush to give to student apprentices completing their courses. Something they would be proud of and treasure. We even embossed their names on your brushes.”

Danny Lucas replied: “I’m so proud you got in touch with Lucas and I’m delighted you’re going the extra mile to promote our industry.”
