Lucas lands heritage finishing package in St James’s

Lucas has won an exciting finishing project at 78 St James’s Street, a prime refurbishment and development of a Georgian Grade II* listed building in London’s West End clubland.
The façade and main building is being carefully maintained and refurbished and a new Grade A office building with a large atrium built behind it.
A Lucas team has already been carrying out a programme of early works on site and is now tasked with a wide range of decorations. We will precisely apply Dulux heritage coatings to a series of original Georgian rooms including a saloon, morning room and billiards room, as well as specialist resin coatings to back of house areas, which in this instance includes a wine cellar.
The team will decorate the new offices created in the original building and throughout the newly built office accommodation, atrium, basement areas and a new underground car park. We will be painting all external metalwork which again unusually will include historic railings, a staircase, gates, balustrades, lamp posts….and even a flagpole!
The project is being carried out for the Main Contractor Mace on behalf of developer BentallGreenOak.
