Solving a difficult problem at Senate House
S. Lucas’s spray painting experience has been called upon by project manager Jacobs Engineering to deal with a difficult problem at Senate House in Central London. This 19-storey landmark building in Bloomsbury is the administrative centre of the University of London. It has been undergoing a comprehensive refurbishment and redecoration programme, but the 1930s art deco building has over the years been painted internally with distemper or whitewash. As a result the surface has been flaking and proving difficult to repaint. Now an experienced S. Lucas spray painting team has been brought in. We have been commissioned to provide a thorough assessment of the existing surfaces and designate them as low, medium and high risk areas. Then we will make up bespoke preparations according to the surface conditions and spray without disturbing the surfaces.
