Search for new products leads Lucas to the foot of Mount Etna
In our effort to continually bring innovative products and finishes to our clients and their projects, our recent mission took our Research and Development Manager Adam Lucas to the foot of Mount Etna, the active volcano in Eastern Sicily.
There he found an Italian company developing a range of paints and plaster coatings that produce eye-catching special effects when applied to walls and ceilings.
“I spent several days with the company and | was very impressed with their range of coatings, some of them in soft, silky tones and incorporating sparkling metallic microflakes”, says Adam. “I was given a very useful insight into the best way of applying these highly decorative finishes.”
Lucas can apply a new range of decorative coatings with names such as “Karisma”, “Veneziano” and “Marmorino” and will be making sure that architects and designers are aware of these seductive Italian finishes.
