New multi-storey project win in Central London

S. Lucas has won a general decorations package for the shell and core of a prestigious new multi-storey building under construction by Sir Robert McAlpine for Land Securities in Victoria, Central London.

The new building is 62 Buckingham Gate and occupies a prime site at the junction of Victoria Street and Buckingham Gate. The scheme will provide 23,600 sq. meters of net lettable office space and 1,750 sq. meters of street level shops and restaurants. The 13-storey development is designed to provide a highly flexible modern office environment with large amounts of column-free space. A new canopied pedestrian area will connect the surrounding streetscape and provide space for pavement cafés and outdoor public seating.

The S. Lucas team will apply specialist acid-resistant and non-slip epoxy floor resins to sensitive back of house areas, highlight walkways and services routes and apply general decorative finishes to the walls, ceilings and joinery of the shell of the building.

Our logistics centre will sequence supplies to the S. Lucas team on site to minimise the space we require to complete our decorations role on the multi-storey building, which assists other trades and the construction manager as the project reaches completion.
