Lucas scoops major reception fit out at n2 Victoria

Lucas has won a major fit out project at the newly-named n2 building in Victoria, part of the huge Nova development opposite Victoria Station.
The n2 is a 17-storey prime office building sitting alongside the residential Nova Building and another new office tower which together with shops, restaurants and public realm features, have transformed this 5.5 acre island site within one of London’s busiest one-way systems
Lucas has been brought on board early for this reception design and build fit out project in order to develop original architect drawings into a comprehensive construction programme.
The Lucas team will take over responsibility for the empty space, and will be engineering glass reinforced gypsum (grg) fluted concrete-effect wall panels, fixed down from the ceiling to create a dramatic entrance to the building. We will also build and install a bespoke stone and oak laminate reception desk, special seating booths, create break-out areas and build a specially-designed coffee bar for office workers and visitors.
We will also supply and install a ceramic floor for the reception complete with underfloor heating, and at higher levels our team will build feature “green” walls with built-in planters. Other installations will include toilet and storeroom facilities as well as internal security gates.
Lucas fit out and finishing teams have previously completed a series of major packages during the earlier stages of this development, including building, fitting out and finishing 21 luxury penthouses in the adjacent Nova Building.
The main contractor for n2 is Mace and the developer is Landsec.
