Lucas turns full circle at Broadgate

A Lucas fit out team is playing a key role in the refurbishment and transformation of the Broadgate Circle, the iconic centrepiece of the Broadgate campus next to Liverpool Street in the City of London.

We are undertaking a complete fit out programme for the circular walkway and creating new retail units around the circle. This follows the demolition of the existing structures under refurbishment plans designed by Arup Associates and undertaken by construction manager Mace for the joint venture owners, British Land and GIC.

We will be installing a highly complex Siberian Larch ceiling made under our instructions in Holland. This strutted and fan-shaped timber ceiling will give a new and distinctive atmosphere to the public walkway leading to the shops and restaurants that surround the open circle.

The Lucas team is also creating the base build for all the retail units around the Broadgate Circle and carrying out the decorations and applying specialist coatings for the plant rooms and other behind-the-scenes areas.

The role Lucas is playing in the refurbishment of the Broadgate Circle complements the work we have also undertaken for the huge new office development at 5 Broadgate and marks the continuing evolution of this important City office and retail complex.
