Lucas Fit Out carries out luxury residential scheme in Holborn
Lucas Fit Out is undertaking the complete fit out and decoration of six luxury residences being built by international consultancy and construction company Mace at 280 High Holborn as part of a mixed use scheme by Hines UK. The developer acquired Chichester House in High Holborn and gained planning consent for an eight-story, 69,979 sq. ft. (6,504 sq. meters) office, retail and residential development. The site is located between the City and the West End and the new building faces High Holborn with the green spaces of Lincolns Inn Fields just to the south.
The five apartments and a luxury two-storey penthouse are in a separate building just behind the main development and open onto Newmans Row. Our team is building the walls and ceilings and installing oak flooring on an acoustic saddle system to soundproof the apartments. We are fitting high specification Alno kitchens from Germany and installing the latest open-style wet rooms in the apartments.
Our in-house firestopping team is being deployed before we complete all the decorative works, including the spray- applied satin finishes that we have recommended for the timber panelling system and an Armourcoat feature wall in the lobby of the residential building.
The team has worked closely with the other trades on site to ensure this prestigious development is completed to the highest standards.
