Lucas continues on a green light for railway-related work

Lucas has been given the all clear to continue to work on railway buildings by the independent accreditation service Achilles Link-Up.

This is a rigorous annual audit of our management systems covering in particular our quality control, health and safety standards, environmental best practice and general working practices, and a pre-qualification requirement to work on stations and other transport-related buildings.

It is an outside check on Lucas similar to the Achilles BuildingConfidence five star rating we earned last year which is used widely by the UK construction industry.

Achilles Link-Up specifically evaluates companies working for the railway industry, though not trackside which involves a completely different set of qualifications. Lucas has worked on major transport projects such as Birmingham New Street and Emirates Air Line, the Thames cable car crossing and part of London’s transport network.

Full steam ahead then for Lucas.
