New Heathrow fit out for baggage maintenance company
Lucas Fit Out is carrying out a complete fit out in double quick time to provide a new Heathrow base for the company that maintains all the airport’s baggage belts and baggage handling equipment. HAL Connections and Baggage is being moved out of Terminal 2 which is shortly to be demolished, and into Terminal 3 as part of BAA’s reorganisation programme in preparation for building the new Terminal 2. The company’s new home for its 100 employees is the former offices of United Airlines.
Lucas Fit Out was brought in by contractor Mace to complete a 12 week strip out, refit and handover by the end of November. Our team will complete new floors, walls and ceilings, fit new toilets, showers and a stainless steel kitchen and provide a full decorations service. Lucas Fit Out is also responsible for the logistics of the project including welfare on site, all signage and security. Lee Hardy, Contracts Manager for Lucas Fit Out, said: “This project is being run to a very tight timescale and we’ve had to be pretty clever sourcing the correct specification materials at such short notice. But that’s what our clients expect of us and we make sure we deliver.”
