Over 1000 residences formally handed over in Lucas’s biggest residential painting project
The single largest residential painting project ever undertaken by Lucas has been formally handed over by principal contractor Mace to the client, Knight Dragon.
Lucas teams successfully delivered the complete decorations of 1005 residential apartments in phases between mid-2017 and last year. Our work was of top quality, snag-free and carried out in complete safety for all our operatives.
The residential painting packages were spread across five tall towers of between 22 and 29 storeys and with residences ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments. We also applied specialist coatings to basements, plant rooms, parking and service areas.
The long term Greenwich Peninsula regeneration masterplan will eventually see the creation of almost 16,000 new homes on a 150 acre site, with over 35 acres of greenspaces and 1.6 miles of public frontage along the River Thames.
Project Director for Mace, Guto Jones said “In my experience, rarely do you come across a trade contractor, in any discipline, who deliver on all fronts like Lucas do. They are able to meet challenging programmes, but also deliver the quality, and do it safely. They are true to their word, and if they tell me something will get done – I know it will be.”
Danny Lucas, Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Lucas, said: “We deployed a small army of fully trained operatives on Greenwich Peninsula. I’m delighted our work was so professionally and safely completed and to such a high standard for this large operation.”
