Fit Out flies at Heathrow
Lucas Fit Out is completing a series of important projects at London’s Heathrow for Mace Group as part of the airport’s complex programme of refurbishment and reorganisation. The company has completely re-fitted and decorated Building 1082, a former two-storey airside cold store and now a bright new headquarters for control post security staff. We have also completed the comprehensive fit out and redecoration of a former airside baggage storage building and turned it into a secure and family-friendly holding and repatriation facility operated by the UK Borders Agency, complete with our own bespoke artwork for the family room.
We have also transformed a former American Airlines VIP suite in Terminal Three into a smart facility for the charity Travelcare, which helps onward passengers who have special travel needs. Fit Out is now turning the Old Control Tower into new office space for workers being relocated from the soon-to- be demolished Queens Building, Lee Hardy, Lucas Fit Out’s Project Manager, said: “This is an important body of work we are completing at Heathrow, giving us a strong niche position in this sector of the market.”
