Back to school for Lucas at EdCity

Lucas is about to embark on another major project in the regeneration of White City after winning a comprehensive painting package for EdCity, a not-for-profit partnership between the education charity Ark and Hammersmith and Fulham Council.

This latest project includes a new school called Ark White City Primary Academy co-located with an “OnSide” youth zone, an adult learning and skills centre, 132 affordable new homes, an 11 storey office building including basement, and improved community facilities.

The Lucas painting team will decorate throughout the five storey education building, three storey youth centre, the residential apartments, and the 95,000 sq ft office building, applying specialist coatings to the basement areas.

The broader regeneration programme in West London is extremely familiar to Lucas. We have completed numerous key projects at the former home of BBC Television (now Television Centre), nearby White City Place, and most recently two new eight storey residential blocks at Macfarlane Place.

The main contractor for EdCity is Bowmer + Kirkland and our team starts working immediately.
