Lucas supplies hand wash stations to Dulux Decorator Centre network

Lucas is supplying some 240 Dulux Decorator Centres (DDCs) throughout the UK with its new, free-standing hand wash stations.
The hand sanitizer dispensing stations are part of Lucas’s own “Stop the spread” initiative where in the last few weeks we have geared up to produce the dispensers for construction sites and other locations, and raise money for the British Lung Foundation at the same time.
We developed the wash stations as part of the battle to beat Covid-19 and keep our industry working under the new operating guidelines. We have put in place manufacturing arrangements that ensure a continuous supply of our own 80% alcohol hand sanitizer which has been tested and certified to the internationally recognised EN1500 standard.
We are a Contract Partner of Dulux and have been working closely with them, maintaining paint supplies for our projects during the lockdown.
We have recently completed the redecoration of a Harley Street clinic, for example, using Dulux’s Strerishield Diamond Matt. This is a water-based antimicrobial coating that inhibits the growth of pathogenic bacteria.
Alistair McAuley, Managing Director of Dulux for the UK and Ireland, said: “We’ve been working with Lucas to ensure we maintain our service delivery during these difficult months. The wash stations form part of our special measures to open Dulux Decorator Centres and keep our staff and customers safe.”
