Community spirit shines through as Lucas helps local resident

Donating paint to local residents

The Lucas team working at Lillie Square in west London under the leadership of site manager Krystian Owczarek has come to the aid of local resident Rae Smyth with help to revamp her home that she says will “make an enormous difference” to her.

Lucas is decorating new residences being built there as part of a major 10-year redevelopment of the whole area near Earl’s Court led by construction manager Sir Robert McAlpine.

Ms Smyth first approached the project leaders to see whether any discarded materials could be used in her home. Hearing her story and the number of challenges she has had to cope with, Lucas donated paint and brushes and rollers to help with the redecoration of her home and other suppliers on the project chipped in too.

Danny Lucas, Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Lucas, said: “We were very happy to help out the local resident, realising that a little time and effort on our part could make so much difference to her.”
