A bright new project as Lucas secures penthouses fit out & decorations for Nova, Victoria

Architect: Benson + Forsyth

Interior Designer: FLINT-London

Lucas has won the fit out contract for 21 penthouses to be built as part of the first phase of the huge Nova, Victoria development in central London.

This is the second project win for Lucas on the development where we have already been awarded the decorating contract for two commercial buildings that are part of the wider Nova, Victoria project.

Our immediate task for the penthouses is to develop the existing architectural drawings into detailed, 3D construction plans. Then the Lucas team will be responsible for installing stainless steel panelling to the lift lobbies, luxury, bespoke features to the corridors and apartments including Pandomo Terrazzo floors, acoustic fabric “Kvadrat” ceiling panels, highly unusual steel plated apartment doors, underfloor piped heating systems and timber flooring.

We will also be installing complex lacquered timber wall panels, metal and timber staircases to two duplex apartments, specialist joinery including bespoke fitted wardrobes, and decorating throughout.

Nova, Victoria is a 5.5 acre island site being jointly developed by Land Securities and the Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board. It is described as architecturally daring, includes a pedestrianised public quarter and will change the landscape of the Victoria area. Mace is the main contractor and will be delivering the mixed use scheme of world class office accommodation, contemporary high quality apartments, retail units, cafés and restaurants due for completion in 2016.
