Breathing clean air at Battersea Power Station

Lucas has carried out another major lung testing session for site workers with the help of the British Lung Foundation (BLF).
We funded a team of specialist respiratory nurses to carry out medical tests in facilities we set up at Battersea Power Station, one of our biggest project sites where we are carrying out a series of decorating and historic refurbishment programmes.
Almost 70 operatives were tested this time with the help of the BLF. As well as lung capacity tests, advice was on hand for quitting smoking and information booklets were also given out about breathlessness and keeping active.
Lucas is a partner of the Living Well Alliance, an initiative of the BLF. The Living Well Alliance brings together companies who provide products, devices or treatments that support people to manage their lung conditions. Lucas is one of its founding partners.
The health, safety and wellbeing of our operatives is of paramount importance at Lucas. The partnership with the BLF and our lung testing sessions is just one way we remain proactive in promoting good health and best practice across the group.
