Lucas and Dulux donate 160 hand wash stations to Barchester Healthcare
Lucas and Dulux, partners in the True Colours good causes campaign, have donated 160 hand wash stations to Barchester Healthcare, a UK wide operator of nearly 200 care homes. The wash stations are fully supplied with Lucas’s alcohol-free hand sanitizer.
Dulux has generously agreed to donate £8,000 to Lucas’s main charitable partner, the British Lung Foundation (BLF), for the hand wash stations.
Lucas designed and manufactured the hand sanitizer dispensing stations earlier this year as part of our “Stop the spread” initiative to fight Covid-19 and keep the construction industry working under new operating safety guidelines.
We also put in place manufacturing arrangements to ensure a continuous supply of our own alcohol-free hand sanitizer which was tested and certified to the internationally recognised EN1500 standard.
Danny Lucas said: “I’m really pleased that we made a positive contribution to fighting this virus and help construction get back up and running again. And thrilled that Dulux has been so generous to ensure our remaining hand wash stations are put to such good use where they are most needed.”
