Lucas shortlisted for two top awards in the 2017 Construction News Specialists Awards
Lucas is delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted in the 2017 Construction News Specialists Awards in both the Specialist Contractor of the Year (under £25 million turnover category) and in the Project of the Year (subcontract over £2 million) category.
Danny Lucas, Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Lucas, said: “To be shortlisted in both these categories in what are the principal industry awards for specialists in construction is a great achievement and a tribute to both the way we run our company and the dedication of our workforce to providing a great service to our clients.”
Lucas has won a number of top awards in recent years organised by both Building magazine and Construction News, including being acclaimed the Finishing and Fit Out Specialist three times in five years when Construction News ran that category.

Lucas is being judged for the Specialist Contractor award on our introduction of new technologies into our operations including the opening of our Innovation Centre, our new approach to “super fit out” projects and our efforts to combat the skills shortage in our industry. The complex and challenging mix of packages we carried out on the refurbishment and rebuilding of South Bank Tower in central London will be judged for the Project of the Year category.
The winners will be announced on 22 March 2017 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London at a glamorous awards ceremony. It will bring together the biggest names in the construction industry to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the very best specialist contractors in the UK.
