Back on show at Olympia

S. Lucas is returning to the Olympia exhibitions venue in West Kensington to carry out another major decorations package. This follows our redecoration of the majestic Grand Hall during a tight summer schedule back in 2009 and which subsequently earned us a “highly commended” accolade from the Painting and Decorating Association in their Premier Trophy Awards 2010.

This time we are decorating the West Hall which is being rebuilt and extended by Sir Robert McAlpine as part of a series of works of refurbishment and enhancement at the exhibitions complex. West Hall is being rebuilt within its existing footprint behind the restored brick façade along Blythe Road to create a 2 storey exhibition hall. The ground floor will incorporate a new visitor entrance. We will complete the general decorations using the paints of our contract partner, Dulux, and install special acoustic tiles to the ceiling. The first floor level will create an extra 3,800 sq metres of exhibition space. New links to the Grand Hall and Olympia Two will provide extra versatility and improved pedestrian access. Completion is due in time for the London International Horse Show taking place at Olympia in December.
