Lucas flys in to “Gotham City”
Lucas has secured another important painting package in the City of London.
We have sent in our painting teams to 40 Leadenhall Street, a complex new office building with multiple amenity spaces, also known as “Gotham City” and situated in the heart of the insurance district.
Its northern core rises in steps to a height of 34 storeys, whilst the southern core also rises in steps up to 14 storeys. Architects Make say their design is reminiscent of the skyscrapers of early 20th century North America, and takes account of the cluster of striking tall buildings nearby.
We will be decorating the core areas of the building, including all staircases, and applying specialist epoxy resin coatings to plant rooms, loading bay and cycle stores. Lucas will also be responsible for decorating the ground floor and mezzanine reception areas, including double height spaces, library staircases and a large atrium which connects with the Billiter Street side of the building.
The developer of 40 Leadenhall Street is Nuveen and the contractor is Mace.
