Lucas delivers comprehensive painting package at 280 Bishopsgate

Lucas continues to deliver a run of important new painting packages in Central London with the decorations for a major office redevelopment at 280 Bishopsgate.
The 13-storey commercial building was the former City headquarters of the Royal Bank of Scotland. It is now undergoing a complete redevelopment, inside and out, to create over 264,000 sq ft of Category A office space, including a new dual reception feature right through the building, linking it with Bishops Square on one side and Spitalfields Market on the other.
The Lucas team is applying coatings to all the core areas and offices spaces, including spraying to metaldeck soffits and beams within exposed ceiling areas. We are also applying specialist epoxy resins to plant room floors and the cycle store in the 2-storey basement, and painting staircases throughout the building.
We will also be decorating the fantastic new ground floor reception areas.
The main contractor for the project is Galliford Try and the developer is Arax Properties. Completion is expected towards the end of the year.
