Lucas complete 2 years without a reportable accident at T5

S. Lucas Ltd has achieved an outstanding health and safety record during their work as part of the construction of Terminal Five at Heathrow Airport, one of Europe's largest construction projects. The company has completed 24 months without a reportable accident - not even a cut finger, as Site Manager Paul Jearum says.S. Lucas Ltd won the contract for the decoration and application of floor paints in the main terminal building, which is nearly a quarter of mile long and could accommodate 50 football pitches on its five floors.

The company started work on site in January 2005 and in January 2007 completed the two years without a reportable accident.Main contractors Mace Solutions presented the company with an Award for this outstanding achievement. "We have always put the safety of our painters first," says Danny Lucas, Managing Director of S. Lucas Ltd: "They are, after all, our most valuable asset."
