Lucas finalists for two Kent Excellence in Business Awards

Lucas are proud to announce that we are finalists for the upcoming Kent Excellence in Business Awards (KEiBA) for the Business Commitment to the Environment Award and our own Danny Lucas is a finalist for the Entrepreneur of the Year award.
50 finalists were announced after a record breaking of entries for KEiBA 2017 and we are pleased to have made it in the final lineup as one of the best companies in Kent. The finalists were announced at the Kent Vision Live exhibition at the Kent Event Centre in Detling.
We were named winner of the Construction News Finishing and Fit Out Contractor of the Year award three times in 2010, 2012 and 2014. We were Building Magazine’s Specialist Contractor of the Year in 2014. We have been shortlisted for this year’s Construction News Specialist Contractor award. All these awards take into account our commitment to environmental best practice and why we believe we are worthy of this achievement.
Danny Lucas started working for his father’s painting and decorating company, then called S Lucas, at the age of 15. He is now the Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Lucas. “It’s for others to call me a workaholic if they like, but I have new ideas every day to evolve the Lucas business constantly.” Danny commented on what makes him stand out from the crowd. “We never stand still but strive to bring new efficiencies and technologies to the fit out and finishing part of construction. I always want to create a buzz in the company.
“I have strong personal relationships with our clients. They know Lucas has a “can do” attitude. That’s why we win repeat business from them.”
We will be finding out whether we have won these two awards at the ninth annual gala dinner at the Kent Event Centre on Thursday 22nd June, which will be hosted by organisers Kent County Council and KM Group.
Danny Lucas commented: “For Lucas to be finalists for two awards is an honour as it’s proof that we really are amongst the best of the best in the county and it wouldn’t have been achieved without a load of hard work, commitment and the will to succeed by the entire Lucas team.
“We are proud to contribute to our environment with the services we deliver here at Lucas, as committing to an eco-friendly environment is something we really push here across our workers. And as for being a finalist myself, I’m up against some tough competition and I wish everyone the best at the Kent Excellence in Business Awards”.
Keep your fingers crossed for us and wish us luck!
