Our own Jamie Oliver reaches new heights!
Remember Jamie Oliver? No, not the chef! We wrote an article back in October 2016 about our very own Jamie Oliver, who wasn’t sure what he wanted to do when he left school at 18. Now 25, he’s come a long way since we last updated you on his progress with us.
Jamie started with us as a painter and gained experience on Lucas projects at Greenwich Square and 33 Grosvenor Street - Following working on our own project: our Innovation Centre at Wrotham HQ. He took the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor and Estimator for us and helped to price our tenders for Television Centre and Wimbledon Court No 1, plus he is working towards a degree in construction where he spends one day a week at Maidstone College studying his HNC in construction.
We always had high hopes for Jamie and are pleased to report that Jamie has made us proud once again!
Jamie’s continued his career development with us and has now achieved a Distinction for his Building Construction module and Analytical Method’s module and a Merit in his PS1 module this semester. Go Jamie!
Danny Lucas, Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Lucas, said: “We are incredibly proud of Jamie’s progress with us. He’s consistently exceeding our expectations and is a real example on what young people can achieve in this industry.”
Jamie Oliver commented on his progress: “I am so thankful to Danny and the team at Lucas for all their support so far. Working with Lucas has really opened my eyes to a future of possibilities and I’m excited to see how far I go in this industry.”
Watch this space for an update on Jamie’s progression.
