Sustainability the key to Worship Square

Lucas has secured an important commercial painting win at Worship Square on the northern edge of the City for a new, 10 storey workspace development that has impressive sustainability targets, designed to achieve NABERS 5.5* as well as BREEAM Outstanding. The new build by international workspace provider HB Reavis (see link below) will deliver 140,000 sq ft of office, retail and amenity space resulting in a highly sustainable working environment.

“Lights, camera, action!” - Lucas

Lucas is about to strut its stuff at Shepperton Studios in south west London where a major expansion programme is underway. New facilities are being built across three plots as part of the long term expansion plans between the studios owned by the Pinewood Group and Netflix that will eventually see production capacity double at the historic film site.

Teodor Banov and Paul Connell emerged as joint overall winners at the annual Lucas performance awards held last night at BAFTA, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts headquarters in London’s Piccadilly. Teodor is a long-standing Lucas site manager currently delivering a particularly challenging project for us at One Nine Elms and has been highly complimented both by our client and the management team at the site.

The Government-backed Cyber Essentials scheme is organised by the National Cyber Security Centre and gaining the highest level certification shows that we are very well protected.

Damion takes “safety as standard” to a new level

Congratulations to our operative Damion Phillips who has just won the monthly safety award working on “Gotham City” as it’s known by some, otherwise 40 Leadenhall Street, a complex new office building under construction in the City of London. Main contractor Mace highlighted Damion for his “continuous hard work and refreshing attitude to safety.”

Lucas beats to the rhythm of Cadence at King’s Cross

7th July 2022

Fit-out and finishing contractor, Lucas has scooped a major decorations contract for Cadence, a striking new development on the King’s Cross Estate in London. The residential development, which has been designed by Alison Brooks Architects with interiors by Conran and Partners, will be six-sided and built around a central courtyard framed by irregular arches to form a contemporary colonnade. The buildings will rise to different heights from four to 15 storeys.
