New Docklands data centre fit out being completed by Lucas

Lucas is completing another major data centre fit out in Docklands for the Japanese company Telehouse International Corporation and principal contractor Mace.
This nine-storey centre is Telehouse North 2 (we previously worked on Telehouse West) and we have fitted out data halls on levels six and seven. We installed a specialist aluminium grid ceiling, a high level data rack containment system, and perforated panels to air plenums on the west elevation on both levels.
We are also fitting out utility areas on the ground, mezzanine and first floor levels. Our work includes applying specialist resin coatings to raised floors to provide anti-dust and anti-static conditions for all the computer storage and electronic equipment that is housed on the site. We have also installed high level plasterboard for the computer room air conditioning (CRAC) units that control temperature, air distribution and humidity.
In addition we are carrying out complete washroom fit outs throughout the building’s two cores on every level and completing lift and riser shaftwall construction on all levels.
Further Lucas services included firestopping and acoustic integrity works to all penetrations throughout the building, with our specialist trained site teams installing to industry and regulatory standards.
Lucas has built a strong reputation in this specialist sector of fit out that requires exceptional measures to protect data halls and the valuable and vulnerable equipment they house.
